General Course Information

Course Goal: To increase awareness and proficiency in basic CPR skills, AED management and first aid procedures (optional) in the workplace and community.

Audience: Persons with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card in CPR, AED and/or first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Content: Adult CPR, AED and choking techniques with optional first aid skills.

Certification: A course completion card is issued upon successful course completion.

Specific Courses

Heartsaver CPR / AED (Classroom - Based)

  • "Practice While Watching" skills teaching with Instructor & video in a classroom setting.

  • Skills practice and testing with Instructor in classroom setting

  • Optional written exam.

  • Ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an Instructor while learning skills

Heartsaver CPR / AED (Blended Learning)

  • Content taught in three parts.

  • "E- Learning" skills teaching completed by student online with printable certificate of completion (Part 1).

  • Skills practice (Part 2) and testing (Part 3) with Instructor in classroom setting.

  • Optional written exam.

  • Ideal for learners seeking a schedule – friendly alternative to traditional classroom instruction.  Not recommended for students seeking initial certification or renewal of expired certifications. â€‹
